This bag was thoughtfully designed and is 100% organic from farm to fiber. Our Market Tote is cut to create minimal fabric waste. It's dyed with natural flowers and sewn by refugee seamstresses who are earning a fair wage. It's the perfect companion for a trip to the farmer's market or just a sustainable bag for everyday life. It features two large front pockets, perfect for your keys and wallet, or even a bottle of wine. On the inside, there is a small pocket, sized to fit your phone and other small necessities.

Handmade Acknowledgement:

  • Variations in color and dye design will occur.
  • All of our products are handmade in small batches. Please allow up to a two-week turnaround for production.

Natural Dye:

  • Our natural dye plants are grown on MRC's fully certified organic and regenerative farm, New Leaf Agriculture in Elgin, Texas. Organic dyes are biodegradable, nontoxic and nonallergic.
  • For our yellow color, Marigold, we use Mexican Mint Marigold plants, sometimes known as Texas Tarragon. We harvest all 800 marigolds every fall by cutting off the tops of the plants, allowing for yearly regrowth. The entire plant is used for the natural dying process.
  •  For our gray/green color, Iron, we use ferrous sulfate iron salts on top of our marigold dye to "sadden" the color. Ferrous sulfate is the same as iron supplements we take for an iron deficiency in our bodies.

Care:

  • Due to our natural dye, fading is possible, so don't wash often.
  • Please hand or machine wash on cold with pH neutral soap only.
  • Lay flat to dry and limit sun exposure.
